ABOUT

I’m a writer and radio producer from Massachusetts currently living in Brooklyn.

When I was born in 1991 the #1 song in America was Paula Abdul’s “Rush Rush”.

There’s a line in it I like: “Here's my story and the story goes.”

So:

Right now I am earning an MFA in Narrative Nonfiction at the University of Georgia. I hold a BA from Bard College in Literature and learned how to make radio at the Salt Institute in Portland, Maine after starting out in public television at WGBH.

For almost ten years I’ve written, reported, edited, or produced stories and series for places like Serial Productions & The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Axios, STAT, Still Alive Magazine, Defector, Campside Media, Gimlet, Business Insider, WBUR, Observer, The Progressive, The Chicago Review of Books, The University of Georgia, VICE, Teen Vogue, The Groundtruth Project, Milk Street Radio (PRX), among others.

Stories, segments, and or series I’ve produced on have won a regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Innovation, an AIPS Sports Media Award from the International Sports Press Association, a Dart Award, and otherwise nominated for an International Documentary Award, or recognized by the Webbies.

In 2020 I was proudly part of the team that made the show The Improvement Association from Serial Productions. It was nominated for a Peabody Award.
